The Pueblo of Isleta Diabetes Prevention Programs was established in June 1999. Congress established the Special Diabetes Program for Indians in response to the diabetes epidemic. The Pueblo of Isleta Diabetes Prevention Programs plan is to promote healthy life-styles and develop different practical tips and ideas on managing diabetes.
